Always a good place to stop, food. Wine, furniture and deserts. This is a destination and they have the world largest rocking chair and a regular one you can buy for yourself. It's so much fun!!!!, be sure to bring the cc. Enjoy!!!!!
The Mercantile is the largest, with a huge selection of rustic, country style goods, from clothing, bedding, and kitchen ware to all sorts of knick knacks and craft ideas. It takes a good hour to see everything.
Have been there several times and love the atmosphere and the pulled pork or chopped beef sandwich with their hot BBQ sauce, which isn't really very hot. Had the ribs and sausage but the fried pies are awesome..... It is great to go there and have some extra time to visit the store and gift shop and the new bakery if it is open yet.
Don't understand the hype at all. The meats here are terrible. Sliced brisket and pulled pork were very dry and lacked flavor. The "smoked turkey" is actually lunch meat. I will say the sides were decent. The baked tater salad is a delicious niche. The rest of the food mediocre or sub par. Do not waste your money here.
Out back, there's all sorts of wood, mostly cedar posts, for sale to use around the house.
Best food no matter what you order. Do yourself a favor and get the jalapeno cheese bun. Fried pies go fast but cobblers are just as delicious. Best caterers around as well. Great family business and values.
The Smokehouse serves up good meats with delicious sides, all cooked fresh on site. There's plenty of canned goods to take home and enjoy later.
